Reply with quote | #1 | I am writing to pick your brain about growing habits of beaked hazelnuts. I have several clumps from conservation sale stock- they have grown tall (after 8 years?) This year the nuts were enormous, i.e. the shells were- inside was little or no meat. I also want to move one large clump (six" radius) to a different location without too much "loss". The wildlife gets most of the nuts (as it should be) but the half dozen or so total (filled out) nuts i have eaten were excellent. best to u-all earl |
